Poll: 100 men vs gorilla

Link copied

For the last half a year or maybe even a year, there’s been one poll going around, the 100 men vs gorilla poll, where people argue who would win if 100 men fought against one gorilla. It’s a very debatable question, because everyone sees it differently. Some people think about how huge a gorilla is, how strong its muscles are, and how it can throw humans around. Others say that 100 men is just too many, and one gorilla could never stand against that kind of pressure and force.

Personally, I lean more to the idea that 100 men would actually win. But still, there’s this nuance - you cannot really explain to a gorilla that a fight is about to start, she cannot prepare herself like a human fighter does. Especially when she sees 100 people running at her, that changes everything. So to me, it feels kind of wrong to judge such a fight like it’s realistic.

When you think of it, in the 100 men vs gorilla, it just doesn’t work the same way in reality. But still, I’m pretty sure that if those 100 men at least coordinate a little bit, they would win against the gorilla. Unless maybe the fight happens in the jungle, where the gorilla could jump into trees and use the terrain. That’s why I think it’s an impossible poll to answer clearly — but I’m curious about your opinion.
