Here we will write down all changes, fixes and updates, that we do to the site. For now (16.08.2022) we will count as site on 1.00 stage. With site work only one programmer and me, founder.
UPD: 1.09 - 18.03.2026 Fixed registration problem
- There was small issue with registration. Now it fixed.
UPD: 1.08 - 18.03.2026 Support IPv6 guest votes
- Now people with ip type IPv6 can also vote as anonymous and unregistered in polls.
UPD: 1.07 - 16.03.2026 Add guest comment support with nickname and IP-based uniqueness for polls
- Allow unauthenticated users to leave comments on polls while keeping user_id nullable for guests.
- Prevent multiple guest comments from the same IP in a single poll by enforcing a uniqueness constraint.
- Preserve backward compatibility for IPv4 numeric storage while supporting IPv6 and a normalized textual IP key.

We updated view of the poll block. Now buttons are bigger and whole block is more user friendly
UPD: 1.05 - 15.12.2025 Website is in active development
- Since the beginning of 2025, most major changes have been implemented. There are now more than 100 commits for this website on GitHub. We are constantly working on the website and keep updating it.
- The most valuable change for us was changing the polling method. Now bots can’t see the link to the answer options in a poll; therefore, bots can’t vote in polls anymore and can’t spoil them.
UPD: 1.04 - 19.03.2023 Was implemented next changes:
- In the registration form, the United States was set as the default country for the United States. They did the same for Russia and Ukraine
- Removed sharing buttons that are no longer relevant
- The /view/ branch was removed from the poll URL https://en.online-statistics.org/poll/view/405 . Now the url looks like this https://en.online-statistics.org/poll/405 Made redirects from old links
- We did the same with the tag pages. The /search/ branch has been removed from https://en.online-statistics.org/search/tag/infection. Redirects made from old links.
