Poll: What is your opinion about Euthanasia

Good afternoon. This poll is about euthanasia and your opinion on euthanasia. What do you think about it? Do you support it, or are you against it?

Euthanasia is when a person is medically helped to die. Usually, they are given an injection or some kind of sedative, and they die as if they were asleep, without feeling anything.

I don't know how it works in the United States, but in Canada it is officially legal. You can apply for it, and under certain circumstances, if you have an incurable disease that causes you a lot of pain and agony, you can officially receive euthanasia.

There are also many religious opinions on euthanasia, and I know a little about them. A very long time ago, it was not just allowed, but in some places it was even welcomed. If a person no longer saw any meaning in life, then, thousands of years ago, they could even receive poison paid for by the state in prefectures or city councils.

But over time, this changed. The general Christian opinion on euthanasia is that if God gave you life, then it is not for you to end it yourself. According to this belief, you should live for as long as God intended.

I also recently learned that people who die by suicide are sometimes not buried together with other people. Instead, they may be buried in a separate place specifically for people who took their own lives. Although euthanasia is different, it is still intentionally ending one's own life. I also learned that a different funeral rite is performed, but I don't know exactly what it is, so I don't want to say something that may be inaccurate.
