Can an ear infection cause jaw pain?

Hello. My ear been hurting a lot lately. Unfortunately, I got an ear infection. I was under the weather and then I got this ear infection. I feel real pain inside the ear. I try to treat it, but honestly I don’t feel much relief.

Lately it got worse, because now I feel strong pain also in my jaw. The pain is heavy, and I don’t really understand if it comes from the ear infection or maybe it is something else. People often wonder, can an ear infection cause jaw pain? And I ask myself the same, like can jaw pain be caused by an ear infection, or is it from some other problem.

I just want to know if really an ear infection can cause pain in the jaw, and under what conditions this happens. Some even ask if an ear infection can cause jaw joint pain or if maybe an inner ear infection can cause jaw pain.

Right now it’s already the third week since I try to cure my ear infection. But instead of getting better, I notice more strange things. My cheeks got swelling, and I feel more pressure, and sometimes I think maybe it’s because an ear infection can cause jaw pain and swelling.

So the main thing I need to understand: can an ear infection cause pain in jaw, or in other words, can an ear infection cause pain in your jaw?
