Hi. I just looking thought internet and wanted to know how much money do you have in your saving account? I wanted to compare my savings with yours. Mine is around 10 000 usd+. What about you?
I think it’s important to make clear what exactly you mean when you ask how much money is in your savings account, and even more, in which country you live. For example, in America or Canada, ten thousand dollars is one kind of money, but in Ukraine, Russia, or Balkan countries it is something totally different. Same if you talk about Azerbaijan, or somewhere in Africa. That’s why it’s very important to clarify.
Personally, I have a little less than twenty thousand dollars. I plan to do something with it later. But I think the main thing is not only just to have the money, but also to have some profit, income that can more than cover the expenses. And the most important part is that the money exists in some form, and that you try to invest it. But invest only into legal things — places where the government is involved, where it knows about it, approves, and even encourages investing. Like funds, bonds, and so on. Because this can bring you some independence and stability in life.
It’s also important that this money brings you some kind of joy. I can’t forget a phrase I once heard from a friend of Warren Buffett. And this friend said: there is nothing more useless than very big money in the hands of a 90-year-old person.
I read that life somehow changes very significantly if you have more than $20,000 in a savings account — as if it completely changes your life overall. Still, I am not entirely sure this is true, so I cannot say it with full confidence. However, it seems to me that this could actually be true.
nd yes, I agree with you that it is very important to clarify how much money you have in your account and in which specific country, because a great deal depends on that. After all, in some countries in Africa, saving $20,000 is almost impossible, whereas in certain first-world countries it can be achieved in less than a year.
