July 2026 Update: 800 Votes in One Month

30.07.2026 00:38

We are happy to report that during July 2026, our polls received a total of 800 votes.

Only two months ago, we celebrated reaching 150 votes in a month, which already felt like a major achievement for us. Today, that number has grown to 800.

The largest number of votes came from our poll about Trans acceptence in USA, together with several related polls on transgender issues:

Because these polls are connected by topic, users often moved between them, and together they generated the strongest engagement this month.

Several other polls also received considerable attention. Among them were:

We sincerely thank everyone who participated, voted and shared their opinion.

Important updates to the website

During July, we also added several important trust and policy pages, including our Poll Methodology and Editorial Policy.

These pages explain how polls are created and moderated, how results should be interpreted, how the platform maintains neutrality and how poll data may be used and cited.

Google search traffic remains a challenge

At the same time, we have noticed something disappointing.

Despite the amount of work completed on the website, Google still provides Referendum.social with almost no search visibility or organic traffic. At this stage, many of our efforts appear to be largely ignored by the search engine.

We continue improving the platform, publishing useful polls, strengthening transparency, adding policy pages and making the website more informative. However, these efforts have not yet resulted in meaningful traffic from Google.

From our perspective, this is especially frustrating because Referendum.social was created as an independent platform where Americans can answer important questions and explore public opinion without the results being commissioned, financed or controlled by political parties, governments or other interested organizations.

We cannot say with certainty why Google continues to limit the site’s visibility. However, the current situation makes it more difficult for people to discover an independent polling platform through search.

Thank you for being with us

Once again, thank you to everyone who participated during July.

Even we are surprised that the website received as many as 800 votes in one month. This is the highest monthly result since we introduced stronger systems intended to prevent bots and automated voting.

For us, this is already a significant number. At the same time, we hope that future months will bring even greater participation and allow us to show a broader picture of public opinion.
